DeWitt: 4 new cases in Wapella.  3 new cases in Clinton. 3 new cases in Farmer City.  1 new case in Waynesville.

Piatt: 3 new cases in Monticello.  2 new cases in Bement.  1 new case in Hammond. 1 new case in La Place.  1 new case in Mansfield.

DeWitt:  3 new cases in Farmer City.  2 new cases in Clinton. 2 new cases in Waynesville.  1 new case in Kenney. 1 new case in Weldon.

Piatt: 5 new cases in Monticello. 1 new case in Unity. 1 new case in Cerro Gordo.  1 new case in Atwood.

CDC currently recommends a quarantine period of 14 days.

 

With these additional cases, DeWitt Co has had a total of 709 cases; Piatt Co has had a total of 858 cases.  

 

Remember, cases are spiking locally, statewide, and nationwide.  Please refrain from attending events/parties/gatherings.  Please don't host such gatherings.   WASH your hands frequently, WATCH your distance (6 feet or more), WEAR a mask when in public.  Protect vulnerable populations.  Please test even when asymptomatic. 

 

We will be hosting a mobile testing unit at our Monticello office located at 1020 S. Market St. in Monticello on Saturday Dec 5 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

 

Due to efforts to add additional staff, our case investigation and contact tracing efforts are caught up now.  We have received word that state testing sites are processing tests more quickly now as well.

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) today reported 10,526 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Illinois, including 148 additional deaths.

Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 770,088 cases, including 12,974 deaths, in 102 counties in Illinois. The age of cases ranges from younger than one to older than 100 years. Within the past 24 hours, laboratories have reported 112,634 specimens for a total 10,918,998. As of last night, 5,453 in Illinois were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19. Of those, 1,153 patients were in the ICU and 703 patients with COVID-19 were on ventilators.

 

The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity for cases as a percent of total test from November 27 – December 3, 2020 is 10.3%. The preliminary seven-day statewide test positivity from November 27 – December 3, 2020 is 12.1%.
