PUBLIC HEALTH ADMINISTRATOR
The DeWitt-Piatt Bi-County Health Department has a full-time position open for a Public Health Administrator to plan, organize and direct the activities of a predominately rural Bi-County agency serving approximately 35,000 residents. The successful candidate would have a Master’s degree in community health, public administration, business administration or a related field; and 3-5 years of considerable, progressively responsible experience (3-5 years) in a division or unit; preferably at the organizational level.
This individual must be adept at personnel, fiscal, and grant management, and have a firm understanding of operations of public sector organizations and be skilled at both oral and written communication. Position will remain open until filled.

The DeWitt-Piatt Bi-County Health Department is currently seeking a full-time Senior Sanitarian. The successful candidate must demonstrate knowledge about public health in relation to food protection, on-site wastewater remediation, and on-site potable water protection. In addition, the individual will provide expertise in programs related to nuisance control, vector borne diseases, and other environmental health related fields. The successful candidate will serve the bi-county area under direct supervision of the Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator will provide assistance in completing all necessary requirements under the Local Health Protection Code.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health, Biology, Chemistry or related field is required. Licensure from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation as an Environmental Health Practitioner or similar is required. Three (3) plus years of previous work experience in a similar role is preferred but not required. Excellent computer and communication skills are a must.
Salary Range: $45,000 to $48,000 to start (depending on qualifications) plus benefits.
