The DeWitt-Piatt Bi-County Health Department is currently seeking a full-time Environmental Health Specialist. The successful candidate must demonstrate knowledge in the field of public health specifically in relation to food protection, on-site wastewater remediation, and on-site potable water protection. In addition, the individual will provide expertise in programs related to nuisance control, vector borne diseases, and other environmental health related fields.  Excellent computer and communication skills are a must.  A Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health, Biology, Chemistry or related field is required.  Previous work experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.

Starting salary begins at $40,075.77 for a non-LEHP and $42,720.56 for an LEHP but may vary based on previous work experience and additional qualifications or credentialing. Benefits included.
